3 researchers from the lab at the European Researchers' Night

On 29 September, Anne-Françoise Mingotaud, Orélia Cerlati and Solène Guggari, respectively researcher in the IDeAS team and doctoral students in the BIBAC and P3R teams, took part in the European Researchers' Night.

Organised by the University of Toulouse, Toulouse Métropole and the Cité de l'espace, the evening's theme was "No(s) futur(s)" and brought together more than 200 scientists from all disciplines. Every year, this scientific culture event takes place at the same time in 300 cities across Europe, to tell the public what researchers are and what they do. They share their discoveries and engage in dialogue through original and offbeat events.
In Toulouse the programme included experiments, projections, performances, mini-conferences in the dark, speed-searching, etc.

The researchers of the lab took part in speed-searching, each inviting a small group of visitors to meet them for a 10-minute one-to-one discussion. The audience was first asked to guess their research topic based on an everyday object that they had wisely chosen! Then the discussion began to explain their research. Finally, at the sound of the gong after 10 minutes, the group changed!
