Son exposé traitera de la formation de nanoparticules d'oxyde de fer particulières : In situ formation of PEG-b-PVPA-stabilized superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles

Iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) are an emerging class of nanomaterials for biomedical applications (e.g. magnetic resonance imaging, drug delivery or hyperthermia). For medical purposes, IONPs that are superparamagnetic, biocompatible, and stable in physiological environment are preferred. The method of the synthesis determines the shape, size, size distribution, and the surface chemistry of the particles, and consequently their colloidal stability and magnetic properties.
In situ co-precipitation in the presence of double-hydrophilic block copolymers built of poly(ethylene glycol) and poly(vinylphosphonic acid) (PEG-b-PVPA) leads to the formation of water-dispersible superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles with controlled size and high colloidal stability.
